Common Council Approves Agreement Between City and Muskego-Norway Schools

Annual agreement that spells out sharing of facilities for recreational activities will now last two years; team competition now has to have at least one Muskego team.

As part of its consent agenda, the Common Council unanimously approved this past Tuesday evening an agreement between the city and the Muskego-Norway School District that allows for shared use of facilities.

The agreement, which is relatively similar year-to-year and spells out the conditions in which both entities share with one another their facilities such as parks and school buildings for recreational activities, does have a couple notable changes starting this year:

Up until now, the agreement between the two entities has been renewed annually. However, future agreements will now run two years in length.

Also, facility reservations from now on for team sports will require that at least one of the teams is from Muskego.

According to a recent memo by Parks and Recreation Director Craig Anderson to the Finance Committee and Common Council, Anderson stated, “We can no longer have games where two non-Muskego teams are playing each other. This had been happening with our Club Basketball programs/teams.”
