Could Water Ski Jump be Relocated?

Current location of Water Bugs' ramp is generating complaints.

In routine business, the city’s Finance Committee and, later on in the evening, the full Common Council, approved the city’s agreement with the Water Bugs Ski Team. In the new agreement, the Water Bugs have changed boat paths due to concerns about current buoy placements.

But the agreement doesn’t really address the current location of the jump, and that concerned Alderman Tracy Snead.

During the Finance Committee meeting, Snead said the jump’s location has been an issue for the last two years, with numerous complaints, mostly in the form of e-mails, having been made.

Upon her motioning and Alderman Noah Fiedler’s seconding of it, the Finance Committee voted to send the issue of the jump’s current location to the Public Safety Committee for review, which will then make a recommendation.
