Council Approves Animal Apprehension Fees
This is the first increase in several years.

Residents who have their animals apprehended by the Muskego Police Department will face a more expensive fee.
The finance committee approved the animal apprehension fee increase from $23 to $30.
Mayor John Johnson asked about the rationale behind a $7 increase, but it was explained that $30 is the average police officer's hourly wage. Since it takes about an hour to round up a loose animal and process the paperwork, Police Chief Paul Geiszler thought this was an acceptable fee.
