Council Approves Next Step for Muskego Lake Park Development
After expected debate, council moves ahead with interest in Dilworth/Cherek/Gardetto properties, advising all sides that this is just a first step in exploring their options.
The met Tuesday night to discuss a resolution of necessity, which would allow the city to move forward on plans to purchase four properties on Little Muskego Lake along Janesville Road.
The 4-2 vote (Aldermen Kert Harenda and Neil Borgman opposed) came after public comment both pro and con as well as debate among the council.
According to Jeff Muenkel, city planner, the next step would be to gather an appraisal on the properties to obtain an idea of what the value would be.
