Democratic Senators Need to Do Their Jobs

Disagreeing with Governor Scott Walker's budget repair bill is fine. Hiding from the vote is ridiculous.

Several media outlets are reporting that Wisconsin's democratic senators are in hiding at a resort in Rockford, Illinois, because they refuse to consider Walker's bill when it comes to the floor for a vote.

Hiding. At a resort. In Illinois.

Instead of running away, every legislator should be present at the Capital Building in Madison to cast a vote. If they disagree and think it's a bad deal for Wisconsin residents, then they should vote against the bill. Heck, abstain at very least.

But they should be in Madison doing the job they were elected to do by the voters of their districts. If protesters can travel to voice their opinions, the least the democratic senators can do is cast their vote.
