Early Election Turnout in Muskego is Brisk
Poll workers pleased with voter numbers in the early going.
A half a hour into the opening of the polls for the special election for the 83rd Assembly District race, voter turnout surprised and pleased election officials at Muskego City Hall.
"We didn't know exactly what to expect, but we've been busy so far and it will be interesting to see what the numbers end up being by the end of the day," said one poll worker (name withheld).
At about 7:30 a.m., there was a line at City Hall, which is the only polling station open in Muskego for this election, and more than 150 votes were cast in the first half hour. Polls are open until 8 p.m.

The election features Dave Craig (R) and Jim Brownlow (D), who are vying for the seat left vacant by Scott Gunderson, who took a position at the DNR when Scott Walker took office as Governor.
This race is one of three in the state today for assembly, with district 60 (Ozaukee, Sheboygan, Dodge and portions of Milwaukee County) and 94 (southwestern corner of the state) also holding elections to fill vacant positions.
