The Celebration - St. Leonard School 50th Anniversary Party

Muskego - St. Leonard Parish is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its school opening in some fun, big ways this year.

On Saturday, March 19, a party for grownups - “The Celebration” - will be held in the parish gymnasium. It will feature a heavenly “Taste of the Town” from five area restaurants and caterers, the band The UnXpected, a silent auction and a raffle.

“We’re excited to celebrate this milestone for our parish and for Muskego,” said school parent Stacey Bartz, whose husband, Pat, also attended the parish school. “St. Leonard’s dedication to 50 years of traditional Catholic education - emphasizing faith, academic excellence and service - has served the community well.”

As part of The Celebration, some of the best menu items from Matty’s Bar, Grille & Catering, Tres Locos, Bubb’s Big Texas Style BBQ, Leah’s Italian Restaurant and Bunzel’s Catering will be served from 6 to 8 p.m.

The band The UnXpected - known for its entertaining classic rock party music mix from the past 50 years or so - will play from 8 to 11 p.m. Performing for the past 20 years, The UnXpected has been onstage at Summerfest, Wisconsin State Fair, the Waukesha County Fair and other major venues.

The Celebration also will feature more than 100 packages in its silent auction, while raffle prizes include an iPad, Diamond Cross Necklace and $500 cash.
