Update: Hudock Paid Delinquent Property Taxes

Mayoral candidate paid his delinquent 2009 taxes.

**Editors Note: This is an update to a story that appeared on Muskego Patch earlier today, March 4.

Muskego Patch had learned that mayoral candidate Luke Hudock was delinquent on his 2009 property taxes, and had yet to pay 2010, but as of noon today, March 4, he paid that tax bill.

We were able to reach Hudock this afternoon, and he confirmed that he settled his tax bill.

"The delinquency was a result of a fire in 2006," he said. There were issues with the insurance company, he explained, and as a result, he and his wife, Andrea, fell behind on their bills, including their property taxes.

In addition, a foreclosure proceeding that was closed at the end of 2009 involved a separate property  on Lynoak Court also owned by Hudock through a land contract. Land contracts are agreements where a seller's name can remain on the deed while another party assumes ownership of the property.

Research of records pertaining to Kathy Chiaverotti, Hudock's opponent, revealed no issues with property taxes.
