Idle Isle Posts Warning on Ecoli Levels
Muskego City beach receives higher-than-desired levels in recent test, but beach remains open.

Department of Parks and Recreation officials posted a sign at the beach at Idle Isle Park today, a result of County tests done on water samples.
Tests are done weekly on Wednesdays and the results that came from yesterday's sample showed 260 ppm (parts per million) of E. coli bacteria, which is considered elevated. The beach still remains open, however.
Generally, levels will rise after a rain, and with the recent weather featuring heavy downpours, the rise was not expected. Parks Director Craig Anderson said that levels exceeding 1,000 ppm will close beaches. Last year, the department of parks and recreation closed Idle Isle beach six times.
