It's Not Over Yet: May Special Election at Muskego City Hall Planned
The 83rd Assembly District race will feature one polling place.
For those weary of the elections in the early months of this year, glad that they were over come April 5, this may be an unwelcome surprise. However, a late departure from the 83rd Assembly seat by Scott Gunderson, who took a position with the Department of Natural Resources, meant that the race would not make the April ballot.
Muskego resident Jim Brownlow, who is running as a democrat, will face Dave Craig, a republican from the Big Bend-Vernon area. Craig was a member of Congressman Paul Ryan's staff for eight years. Brownlow is a former librarian with the Muskego-Norway School District who continues to live in Muskego with his wife.
While signs were posted to remind voters, who turned out in large numbers, it bears repeating.

There will be a special election to determine who will take Scott Gunderson's place, and the election will take place in one polling site at City Hall. The decision for a single place for voters to cast their ballots was in part due to the expected low turnout.
There is a tentative date for a candidate forum between Brownlow and Craig of April 28. We are awaiting confirmation on this item, including time and place.
