Lazich Recall Supporters Say Business is Good

Residents position themselves around town to gather signatures for recall petition.

Local residents were seen around downtown Muskego this weekend, working in various shifts in front of retail establishments like Kohl's and Pick n Save.

Jim and Sue (last names withheld) were parked at the Muskego Public Library toward Janesville Road, with large posters affixed to their vehicle.

"People have been coming out, even in this weather," said Sue. "Although some people have really been nasty as they have driven by."

They said they have collected signatures over the past few days, and as of 11:30am on Saturday they had about three sheets filled out (30 signatures) just that day.  A separate crew further down the street were also collecting signatures for the recall.

It will require approximately 20,000 signatures to initiate a recall of the Senator, who represents the Muskego area as part of the 28th District. Deadline for signatures is May 2.
