Lazich Recall Supporters to Rally in Senator's Hometown

Rally planned for New Berlin City Hall will feature Senator Tim Carpenter among other speakers.

Recall supporters organized against State Senator Mary Lazich have announced a rally on Saturday, April 9 at the New Berlin City Hall.  The group has about 10 days before the deadline to file their petition and is hoping to redouble their efforts.

The event will feature speakers including State Senator Tim Carpenter, one of the 14 who had fled the state in February in order to hold a vote on the budget repair bill.

Senator Lazich, who lives in New Berlin, stated that she was aware of the rally, but stated that she "just can't focus on this, as we have been swamped with the work of the state.  We have been put behind with the 'Capitol Chaos,' and have so much to make up.  In the meantime, I have been heartened by the many calls of support and people who have said they are praying for us.  That really means a lot."
