Luke Hudock Issues Statement About Advancing to April Ballot

Only 18 votes separated Hudock and candidate Scott Dickmann.

City Hall will release the official results of the Feb. 15 primary election later today, Feb. 16, but by the time all districts reported in Muskego, Kathy Chiaverotti and Luke Hudock looked to be the top vote getters. If the election results stand, they will advance to the April 5 general election.

The third candidate, Scott Dickmann, trailed Hudock by only 18 votes; 854 to 836. Chiaverotti finished the night with 1,787 votes.

Hudock has issued a statement thanking the voters of Muskego for their support and thanking Dickmann for the "manner in which he conducted himself throughout the campaign and his willingness to meet and answer questions directly from the people of Muskego at the mayoral forum held February 3rd." He did not mention Chiaverotti.

Here is his statement in full:

I would like to thank everyone for voting in yesterday’s primary election.  It is a testament to the people of Muskego that twice as many people turned out to vote than was predicted.  I am truly humbled by each and every vote cast in my favor and I take the message of those votes forward to the general election.

I would also like to thank Scott Dickmann for the manner in which he conducted himself throughout the campaign and his willingness to meet and answer questions directly from the people of Muskego at the mayoral forum held February 3rd.  Scott is a hard working, genuine individual that simply wants the best for Muskego.  I believe there are many areas he and I agree and I look forward to speaking with his supporters and asking for their support for the upcoming general election.

I look forward to the next several weeks as an opportunity to continue to introduce myself to the people of Muskego.  I will continue to make myself available and accessible to the people so they can get to know me and my positions so they can make an informed decision on April 5th.

Seven weeks ago nobody in Muskego knew who I was.  Yesterday, I was chosen by the people to continue my run for the office of Mayor.  This doesn’t happen without faith, family and a dedicated group of individuals helping along the way who I thank sincerely.

Luke Hudock
Candidate for Mayor, Muskego
