Meeting Preview: Finance and Common Council

Approval of Janesville Road grant for downtown restaurant, expenditure on new front doors for City Hall among the items up for discussion

The Finance Committee and Common Council will be meeting tonight at City Hall, beginning at 6:45pm.

Among the items for discussion for both meetings are a resolution to authorizing a grant for High Tide as part of the Janesville Road Building and Grant Program as well as a resolution to replace the front entry doors at City Hall.

Existing sliding doors required a city worker to come and lock them, then were fitted with a timer to lock automatically when John Johnson was mayor.  However, service calls to repair the doors have been frequent, and the recommendation is to replace them outright.
