📰 News we're reading
• Muskego High School graduate creates new way for students to find volunteer opportunities (gmtoday.com) — Muskego teens now have an easier way to find nearby volunteer opportunities thanks to a new website, "Timeful Volunteering. Muskego," created by recent Muskego High School graduate Claire Santarius. Built with help from the Muskego Area Chamber of Commerce, the site matches students with local organizations, aiming to turn required service hours into meaningful connections and potential career inspirations.

• Waukesha Common Council votes to discontinue flock program after 2026 (gmtoday.com) — Muskego residents should know that Waukesha's Common Council has voted to end its use of Flock license-plate cameras after 2026, a move influenced in part by a lawsuit filed by NoCams Muskego over warrantless database searches. That suit names Muskego and several other Waukesha County communities as defendants, putting local police technology, privacy expectations, and future surveillance tools under fresh scrutiny.

• New Berlin man grabbed postal worker, left her pills: prosecutors (fox6now.com) — Muskego readers are indirectly tied to this case because earlier charges against New Berlin resident Hank Glembin stemmed from a 2025 incident where Muskego police responded to a reported deer crash and encountered him in a Border Patrol vest. He now faces new Waukesha County charges for allegedly grabbing a postal worker and leaving her Xanax, while a judge considers whether he is competent to stand trial.
