Senator Mary Lazich Reacts to Budget Address

Minutes after Governor Scott Walker finished delivering his state budget address, State Senator Mary Lazich issued a statement applauding Walker's vision for moving the state forward.

There are serious fiscal issues facing the state of Wisconsin. I applaud Governor Walker for delivering a straightforward, honest assessment of our budgetary issues and a comprehensive plan to solve them.

The Governor’s budget creates a smaller, more efficient state government the voters asked for November 2, 2010. The budget reduces the structural deficit by 90 percent without increasing taxes and fees.
