Stamp Out Hunger Day is Saturday
Muskego Post Office asks residents to leave a little parcel with your post.

The National Association of Letter Carriers' 'Stamp Out Hunger' day is this Saturday, May 14, with local efforts to benefit the Muskego Food Pantry.
Muskego is one of more than 1,500 NALC branches from every state, involving more than 10,000 cities and towns, which will have more than 230,000 letter carriers collect non-perishable goods from people’s mailboxes.
Muskego Post Office has 19 carriers delivering mail as well as picking up non-perishable food on Saturday, and said that they are hopeful for a better year this year, as donations have gone down since plastic bags promoting the event are no longer used.

According to the NALC, the need for donations is greater than ever. The organization stated, “According to the Agriculture Department's most recent study of food security in the United States in 2009, the number of Americans living in so-called 'food insecure' homes topped 50 million. Of those, 17.2 million are children.”
