What's New for Fall at Muskego Parks & Rec
New fall guide has many favorites, but also a great selection of new programs, especially for adults and seniors.

The Fall 2011 Activity Guide is now out from the and it's obvious what's new is for older users of the program.
Here is a quick review of what NEW classes are being offered:
- Lego Motorized Building, Ages 7-12; designed to build engineering and teamwork skills, teams will build a motorized object made of Legos
- 'Crop 'til You Drop' scrapbooking - offered in collaboration with New Berlin, this class takes advantage of the current scrapbooking craze, allowing projects, swapping supplies and selling to other scrapbookers
- Are Your Feet Fatiguing You? - addresses foot problems, exercises to alleviate pain and improve movement
- Tap and Jazz - for teens - seniors in collaboration with New Berlin
- Step it Up! - for adults, incorporates step routines in exercise workouts
- Attack - as intense as it sounds, a 'boot camp' and body sculpting class aimed at working every major muscle group and increasing heart rate
- Diabetes Seminar - (13-adult) a rising concern among all age groups, this seminar is designed to inform and educate students on combating diabetes through diet and exercise
- General Healthy Eating - nutritional myths, reading those labels and how many calories you should be eating will all be covered
- Grocery Store Tour - walk through the store and get educated on what you should be putting in your cart, while staying on a budget
- Clutter-free Closets & Drawers - organization is hot these days, and this class aims to empower you to take charge of all of your 'stuff'
- Ayurveda Basics - a 5,000 year old healing system of India, which incorporates diet, lifestyle, physical and mental activity to achieve your best balance
- Ayurvedic Food Classes - Ayurveda is a holistic system that determines body type and digestive tendencies, and this class will help you determine which foods are best for your body type
- Yoga and Kayak Outing - beginning with yoga at Idle Isle Park, and continuing on the lake in kayaks, enjoy a relaxing day on Little Muskego
- Financial Planning & Education for Women in Transition - who isn't worried about finances, and if you are a woman recently employed or unemployed, widowed or divorced, this 'financial self defense' class will help you get organized
- ABCs of Medicare - getting close to retirement and wondering how to navigate this next phase of your life? Changes to the system, what's in it and what isn't will be offered.
- Mortgages 2.0 - what to know about buying selling and refinancing in these very tough times.
More than 120 programs and hundreds of class times are offered in the catalog, which has been sent to Muskego residents last week. Didn't get your book? Stop by the Muskego Parks and Recreation Department at City Hall to page through, or see the catalog online.
