Neenah Foundry Settles Environmental Charges (foundrymag.com) — Neenah residents may be interested that Neenah Foundry will pay $200,000 to settle state environmental enforcement over alleged air-permit and record-keeping violations at its two local plants. State officials say the case underscores the need for strict permit compliance, while the company maintains the issues involved administrative practices and did not affect public health or emissions levels.

2. Children's Wisconsin Neenah NICU expands to meet demand (postcrescent.com) — Families in Neenah should know that Children’s Wisconsin is expanding its NICU at the Neenah hospital on Second Street, increasing capacity to care for up to 28 babies at once. The project adds a new six-bed pod, more space for parents at the bedside, and upgraded family support areas, helping meet high regional demand for specialized newborn care on the ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah campus.

3. Rules on e-bikes, mandatory helmets for kids coming to Neenah-Menasha (thenorthwestern.com) — New coordinated ordinances in Neenah, Menasha and Fox Crossing would ban e-bikes and e-scooters from sidewalks, parking ramps and certain posted areas, and require helmets for riders 16 and under. Neenah’s plan also restricts riding on parts of Main Street and West Wisconsin Avenue, with final Common Council approval expected May 20.
