Blood Drive Planned At Oak Creek Police Department
Donors will be entered for a chance to win a $500 Airbnb gift card, the event listing by Oak Creek Police Department says.
OAK CREEK, WI — The Oak Creek Police Department, located at 301 Ryan Road, is planning on hosting a blood drive on April 7, according to a Facebook event listing the agency posted.
Numerous appointments are available for the donation drive, but walk-ins are also accepted as space allows, the event listing says. People who donate will be entered for a chance to win a $500 Airbnb gift card, the event listing says. The drive is being held by Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin.
On its website, Versiti says there is no substitute for blood, and the need for it is vital. According to the Red Cross, someone in the U.S. needs blood and or platelets every two seconds.

The event listing says masks are required at the drive and more than 40 timeslots are available. The drive is planned for 1-6 p.m.
