Community Bike Rodeo Is Saturday In Oak Creek: Bicycle Safety

Oak Creek's community bike rodeo is set to include a bike obstacle course, safety instruction, plus free helmets and locks, police said.

OAK CREEK, WI — The Oak Creek Community Bike Rodeo to help children learn about bike safety is planned to take place at Parkway Apostolic on Saturday, the Oak Creek Police Department said in a Facebook post.

The free family event is meant for kids in kindergarten through 8th grade, and will feature free food, raffles, lessons on safety and a bike obstacle course, the police post said. Free t-shirts, bike helmets and locks will also be available as long as supplies last.

The Oak Creek Health Department will be there to share information about how to keep your family safe this summer. The Department will also fit helmets for children who need them.

The event is scheduled to take place at 10940 South Nicholson Road, with parking available in the north lot and the event taking place in the south lot. More information is available by calling 414-766-7624, according to the police post.
