Oak Creek Suffers Second Traffic Death In Week: Report

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek say a second person has died in an auto accident this week, after rescue workers were called to the scene of a fatal crash Thursday afternoon.

According to the Oak Creek Police Department, officers were called to the 9500 block of S. Howell Ave. at just after 4 p.m. Thursday for a three-vehicle accident. Police said one person died in the accident, and that they are continuing to investigate this tragedy.

Police did not release any further details about the accident, other than to say the Wisconsin State Patrol is working with Oak Creek police on investigating the crash. The victim's name is being withheld pending notification of the family.

Motorcyclist Died In Accident This Week

According to Oak Creek police call logs, a 911 caller reported seeing a motorcycle down near the intersection of E. County Line Road. and S. Nicholson Road just before 1 a.m. on July 14.

Police call logs stated that an officer responded to the scene within minutes and found a man laying face down in the grass next to the motorcycle. The officer said the rider was unresponsive and had no pulse.

According to police, the officer performed CPR and Automated External Defibrillation in attempt to revive him, however the efforts would not prove successful.
