Two Dead After Car Accident Near Mitchell Airport On Layton: MPD

MILWAUKEE, WI — Two people are dead and Milwaukee police are investigating after two cars crashed on 1400 West Layton Boulevard early Saturday morning, police said.

The crash happened around 3 a.m. when a vehicle heading eastbound crossed the median and collided with a car traveling westbound, police said.

A 29-year-old Milwaukee man and a 30-year-old Milwaukee woman were in the car that crossed the median. The female passenger sustained fatal injuries in the crash and the male driver died later at an area hospital, police said.

The occupants of the other vehicle received treatment at an area hospital after they sustained minor injuries, police said.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing, police said on Saturday.
