• Unemployment steady: Slight tick up in Dodge, down in Jefferson in August (wdtimes.com) — Pepin County is part of a six-way tie for one of Wisconsin's lowest unemployment rates at 2.8%, matching Jefferson and Dodge counties in August. The statewide jobless rate dipped slightly, keeping Wisconsin among the top 10 states nationally, while nearby counties mostly hover around the low-3% range.
