• Two men arrested following search of Platteville home (wmtv15news.com) — Two Platteville men were arrested after a May 6 search of a home on West Gridley Avenue uncovered drugs, paraphernalia, firearms, ammunition, and a vehicle tied to a stolen-car investigation. Grant County deputies, Platteville Police, and regional task force members coordinated the operation, and both suspects were booked into the Grant County Jail on multiple drug and property-related charges.
   

• WIAC Track and Field honors awarded (wtaq.com) — Platteville sports fans can cheer University of Wisconsin–Platteville sprinter Izzy Peterson, who was named WIAC Track Performer of the Meet after winning the 100- and 200-meter dashes and setting a conference record. The conference also honored standout athletes and coaching staffs from UW–La Crosse, UW–Stevens Point, and UW–Oshkosh for their performances in the 2026 outdoor season.
   

• Fatal Rollover Crash Kills 26-Year-Old Passenger in Grant County (dubuqueinpursuitnews.com) — Platteville Fire Department and Southwest Health EMS helped respond to a deadly rollover crash early Saturday on County Trunk Highway A in Ellenboro Township, which killed a 26-year-old passenger and critically injured a 17-year-old driver. Authorities say speed is believed to be a factor, and the highway was closed for hours during investigation.
