• Boys & Girls Club announces strong start to public campaign (spmetrowire.com) — A major expansion is planned for the Boys & Girls Club’s Fritz & Julie Schierl Center in Plover, adding 15,000 square feet for a teen center, kitchen, and more youth programming. The club has entered the public phase of a $6 million capital campaign and already unlocked $364,000 of a $1 million matching gift available through Oct. 30.
   

• Pelky Joins UW-Eau Claire Athletics as Assistant Sports Information Director (blugolds.com) — A Plover native, Bryce “Deuce” Pelky, has been hired as Assistant Sports Information Director for UW–Eau Claire Athletics, starting with the 2026–27 year. After experience at Winona State and UW–La Crosse, he’ll handle media relations, statistics, and digital content for the Blugolds while continuing his master’s studies.
