• 'We will be refiling': Utility says the need to power data center has not changed (gmtoday.com) — A massive new transmission line project to power the planned hyperscale AI data center on Port Washington's north side is being restarted after regulators required American Transmission Company to refile its application. The proposal, drawing thousands of public comments and organized opposition from landowners in Ozaukee and Washington counties, could create one of Wisconsin's largest energy loads and may affect electric rates and rural properties.
   

• Ozaukee County Public Works Committee approves Shared-Ride Taxi service hours (gmtoday.com) — Ozaukee County is trimming late-night Shared-Ride Taxi hours while slightly expanding Saturday morning service, in a decision made at a meeting in Port Washington. Starting Oct. 1, weekday rides will end at 10 p.m., weekend evening hours will shorten, and only minor public feedback surfaced during the hearing.
