• Yeehaw! 62nd annual UW-River Falls Frontier Days Rodeo set for Sept. 11-12 (715newsroom.com) — Get ready for rodeo action in River Falls as the 62nd annual Falcon Frontier Days Rodeo rides into the UW-River Falls Campus Farm Sept. 11-12. With multiple performances, family-friendly ticket prices, and UWRF Rodeo Club competitors facing teams from across the region, locals can watch in person on Wasson Lane or catch the livestream online.
   

• Prescott Middle School, Greenwood Elementary receives WI Lions Grant (piercecountyjournal.news) — Greenwood Elementary in River Falls has received a Wisconsin Lions Foundation technology grant to better monitor students with diabetes using continuous glucose monitors. The funding will help keep kids safer and in class more, by giving school staff improved tools to track glucose levels throughout the day. Prescott Middle School also received support as part of this statewide initiative.
   

• Wisconsin judge's order sinks future of Leo's Landing in Prescott (twincities.com) — A Pierce County judge has ordered Leo’s Landing Marina in Prescott to vacate the riverfront by November, clearing the way for a city-owned transient dock as part of broader riverfront redevelopment. A River Falls boater, Sarah VanDenBoom, shares how losing the longtime marina feels like losing a tight-knit river community. The Anderson family is expected to appeal the ruling over shoreline rights and removal costs.
