2 New Cases as Shorewood Burglary Wave Continues
Two more cases appeared over the Holiday Weekend - including a burglary case and a trespassing case in Shorewood.

SHOREWOOD, WI — Earlier, Patch reported that Shorewood police are contending with a rash of burglaries on private property in the village.
Now, authorities have two more cases to investigate after two separate incidents over the holiday weekend:
New Year's Basement Burglary

The Shorewood Police Department is investigating an apartment basement burglary in the 4000 Block of N. Morris Bl. At 11:07 p.m. on 01/01/16, an apartment resident observed a black male, heavy set, 6'02", bald, wearing a dark hoodie-style sweatshirt exit the laundry area of the basement with prying tools protruding from his pocket.
Damage was found to the basement entrance and a coin operated laundry machine. Nothing of value was obtained.

Trespassing on Kensington
The Shorewood Police Department is investigating a trespassing and criminal damage to property incident in the 2200 block of E. Kensington Blvd. An unknown actor(s) trespassed on the property and caused damage to the exterior front door.
There is no indication that the actor(s) made entry into the residence and no items were taken. The incident occurred sometime between 10:45 pm on December 30, 2016, and 6:40 am on December 31, 2016.
Residents are reminded to please call the police and report anything you observe that may be suspicious. Apartment residents are asked to be vigilant of common areas of your apartment complex and to not allow anyone into the building that you don't know
