Science Fair Abounds with Conclusions

You didn’t need to conduct an experiment to figure out was buzzing with energy as fourth through sixth graders held a science fair in the school cafeteria Tuesday.

“It’s fun," 4th grader Willa Ricketts said. "I hope that people can learn from our experiments."

Around December, students proposed self-directed experiments that they were to complete on their own time. Tuesday’s fair displayed their results.

“The project teaches them a lot of valuable skills, like time management, and how to share job responsibilities,” Jennifier Cosgrove, advanced learning coordinator, said.

The students were clearly excited about their projects, and were eager to share their discoveries with visitors.

“It’s very fun because you get to do all this work and then tell people about it, and they’re very interested,” sixth grader Marina Sanfilippo said.

“It’s good for others who were not a part of the science fair because they can learn things from all the different projects,” Marina’s partner Brooke Kenegloski added.
