Shorewood 2017 Fourth of July Fireworks, Festival Guide
Let's Have a Parade! Shorewood Celebrates 4th of July Village Plans Fireworks, Fun Festivities for America's Birthday

SHOREWOOD, WI – Get ready to don your red, white and blue for this year’s 4th of July festivities planned in Shorewood. Bring your family and friends to enjoy a variety of free events with something for everyone including:
- 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. - Free all-ages swim at Shorewood High School VHE Pool
- 3 p.m. - Parade on N. Oakland Avenue from E. Kensington Blvd. to River Park (
- 4 p.m. - Music and free ice cream at parade finish by River Park
- 6 p.m. - Festivities including food, beverages and entertainment at Atwater Park
- 8 p.m. - Flag ceremony and introduction of Parade Marshall at Atwater Park
- 9:30 p.m./dusk - Fireworks sponsored by the Shorewood Foundation at Atwater Park
Kids are also invited to the Bike & Trikes Decoration Station and Parade Ride! Meet at 1:45 p.m. at the Lake Bluff School parking lot. Kids can decorate their bikes at a Decoration Station sponsored and staffed by Little Sprouts Play Café and will receive instructions on how to join the parade.
Entertainers at this year’s parade include: Jolly Giant/ Skeleton Crew Stilt Walkers, the Mood Swing Band, Red Hot Dixie Jazz band, Pioneer Drum & Bugle Corps, the Greater Milwaukee Chapter Model T Ford Club, UW-Marching Band, Rockin' Randy & Diane, Wacky Wheeler, juggler Chris Vogt, Long Riders of Tripoli and amazing hula hoop dancer Taylor Flow.

This year, the Shorewood Foundation is the primary sponsor of Shorewood’s 4th of July celebration. The Foundation, which has been the exclusive sponsor of the Village’s 4th of July fireworks since 2003, has significantly increased its support this year to help make this celebration happen.
“The Foundation’s mission is to embrace the unique character of Shorewood and nowhere is that more evident than our July 4 th celebration, where we come together to celebrate the very best of our community,” said Saj Thachenkary, Shorewood Foundation President.

The Village also thanks the Shorewood Men’s Club who increased their donation to help sponsor the band at Atwater Park and some entertainers in the parade, as well as donors Colectivo/Ruckus, Culver's of Shorewood and Shorewood BID.
