Community Invited to Sock Hop, Class Reunion Picnic

Shorewood residents and Shorewood High School alumni of all ages are invited to meet for a huge picnic and sock hop next weekend.

The All-Class Reunion and Community Picnic will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 13 on the front lawn of Shorewood High School. There will be live bands featuring SHS Alumni, tours, food by Three Lions Pub and a raffle.

Sock Hop!

All ages are invited to a sock hop at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Youth Center. Come dance to music from Freddy Bliffert and the Greyhounds. There is a suggested $5 donation to the alumni scholarship. 

The Youth Center will also host Peter Roller, who will talk about his book, Milwaukee Garage Bands, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Free bowling will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Swim Meet

The Shorewood swim team is also challenging alumni to a swim meet from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the VHE Pool. The swim meet is open to the public and will raise funds for a new scoreboard, starting blocks and timing equipment.
