Tickets are now available for Shorewood Drama's production of Spring Awakening this May.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
The rock adaptation of Frank Wedekind’s 1891 expressionist play tells the story of 19th century German teenagers facing issues related to their sexuality. The controversial, Tony Award-winning musical hit Broadway in 2006.

It had been banned in Germany (and in the United States) due to its controversial subject matter. It deals with taboo topics like suicide, teen pregnancy, masturbation and sexual assault.
Performances run May 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, 18 at 7 p.m. with a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. on May 12.
