• Man rescued from mud below Lake Michigan shoreline bluffs in Cudahy (jsonline.com) — South Milwaukee firefighters played a key role in rescuing a man trapped in mud below the Lake Michigan bluffs in neighboring Cudahy early Friday morning. Using an inflatable raft, crews traveled three miles by water in low visibility to safely reach him and return to a boat launch for hospital transport. Officials say this kind of amphibious water rescue is something South Milwaukee teams now specifically train for.
