• No injuries reported after commercial vehicle brake fire on Interstate 90 (weau.com) — Early Tuesday morning, Tomah firefighters quickly contained a brake fire on a commercial vehicle along westbound I-90 near Mile Marker 43, and no one was hurt. The driver safely separated the trailer, no hazardous materials were involved, and damage was limited to the brake and wheel area before the truck was moved to a nearby yard for inspection.

• Jack A. Sherman (wausharaargus.com) — A Plainfield family is mourning 79-year-old Navy veteran Jack A. Sherman, who passed away May 20 at the Tomah VA Medical Center. Loved for his devotion to family, sports, and community service, he will be honored at a June 20 memorial service in Plainfield, with burial at St. Paul’s Catholic Cemetery and memorials requested for the Old Glory Honor Flight.
