• USDA Designates 5 Wisconsin Counties as Natural Disaster Areas (usda.gov) — Farmers in Washburn County are now eligible for special USDA emergency loans after the county was designated a natural disaster area due to severe drought conditions. These loans can help replace equipment or livestock, reorganize operations, or refinance certain debts. Producers should contact their local USDA Service Center to discuss options and deadlines for applying.
