$1,000 Phone Lost In Waukesha Holiday Package Theft: Police

When a man never had his $1,000 Google Pixel phone delivered by Amazon, he called the police and suspected package theft.

WAUKESHA, WI — An apparent case of holiday-related package theft befell a Waukesha man late Thursday.

According to Waukesha police, a man who lives in an apartment complex on the 2400 block of Springdale Road came into the police department to report that a package that he ordered from Amazon in early December supposedly never arrived.

Reports indicated that the package's contents, a $1,000 Google Pixel phone, was inside. He told police he contacted Amazon, but Amazon said they delivered the package already.

The resident told police that he typically comes home at 6 p.m., and could not find the package they said
was delivered to his front porch. He contacted Amazon again after 24 hours and was instructed to report to a police department. The man ultimately said he did not know if the package got lost in the mail or was stolen.

There were no suspects in the apparent theft case.
