33rd Annual Waukesha JanBoree Festivities Announced
The three-day festival, occurring throughout Waukesha County, offers more than 35 winter activities.

WAUKESHA, WI — A fireworks extravaganza and all-new beer garden kick off the 2018 Waukesha JanBoree, organizers announced today.
The 33rd annual Waukesha JanBoree takes place Friday., Jan. 26 through Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018 at Lowell Park, 2201 Michigan Ave. The three-day festival, occurring throughout Waukesha County, offers more than 35 winter activities, both indoors and out, for adults and children.
Activities include free rides on a 350-foot lighted toboggan run, and new this year, the Lowell Park Beer Garden. WTMJ 4 Meteorologist, Brian Gotter along with the Storm Chaser, will join JanBoree-goers for an afternoon of live broadcasts beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Additional activities include free sledding, disc golf, broomball, ice skating, and music. There will also be a fire to keep you warm, free hot chocolate and popcorn.
Two free family-friendly performances by Comedy Sportz at Waukesha North High School, 2222 Michigan Ave. are also part of the JanBoree. Shows offered at 5:45 and 7:00 p.m. Seating is limited and free tickets are available for pick up at the Waukesha Parks, Recreation & Forestry office, 1900 Aviation Dr., Waukesha, and at the Schuetze Recreation Center, 1120 Baxter St. beginning Jan. 3, 2018.

Throughout JanBoree weekend, activities abound including special events like the Frosty 5K around Frame Park, annual favorites like the pancake breakfast at the Schuetze Recreation Center and new events including free plane rides for children at Crites Field, Olympic style games at the Library, and the “Game On” Family Concert with the Wisconsin Philharmonic featuring “Casey at the Bat.”
