Runner who died during half marathon was from Waukesha (gmtoday.com) — A 36-year-old Waukesha man, John Meise, collapsed during a Milwaukee half marathon Sunday and later died at Froedtert Hospital, with the cause of death still under review. His family is being supported through a GoFundMe that has already raised more than $90,000, as organizers and the race community share condolences and emphasize established safety protocols.
