38-Year-Old Waukesha Man Leads Police On High-Speed Chase: Report
Police say a Waukesha man hit 80 miles per hour on city streets before crashing his vehicle and eventually getting arrested in New Berlin.

WAUKESHA, WI — A 38-year-old Waukesha man was arrested and faces multiple charges after police say he led officers on a high-speed chase through Waukesha and New Berlin.
Police told Patch.com that a Waukesha police officer saw an apparently disabled vehicle just before 9:30 p.m. Wednesday night in the turn lane of St. Paul at Wisconsin.
According to police reports, the driver, Joel C. Midler, sped off as the officer pulled to the side of the road to make contact with him. Midler drove his vehicle about 50 miles per hour as he drove east on grand, hit 70 miles per hour on Broadway and 80 miles per hour on Springdale.

The report stated that Midler crashed his vehicle at Greenfield and Springdale, and fled that scene only to be eventually arrested by New Berlin police just before 10 p.m.
According to police, Midler was arrested and charged with fleeing an officer, OWI-3rd offense, and refusal to take an intoxication test after arrest.
