4 Suspects With Masks Rob Sleeping Woman In Apartment: Report

A woman asleep in her apartment on Dixie Drive said 4 people broke into her apartment in a robbery and home invasion, police said.

WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha police responded to an apartment on the 2000 block of Dixie Drive just after 11:30 p.m. Sunday evening on a report of a burglary and home invasion.

According to Waukesha police reports, a woman was sleeping on her couch when four suspects broke down her door and entered with masks.

Waukesha police told Patch that during the investigation, the investigating officer obtained a written statement from the woman, who said that four unknown suspects forced entry into the apartment demanding money, and stating that they had a gun.

The suspects fled the apartment on foot, heading east, after taking a $10 bill, prior to police arrival.

According to police reports, the woman got into a struggle with one of the suspects outside, in which she was bitten in the leg.

Police conducted a search in the area, however, the suspects were not located. Waukesha police are continuing their investigation.
