Police Respond To May 13 Burglary, Theft Calls: Report

WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha police fielded a number of calls pertaining to thefts and burglaries on May 13. Here are summaries of the calls:

8:40 p.m. Burglary: Officers respond to the 1000 block of Maitland Drive on a report of a burglary. According to reports, a homeowner's garage was entered the day before, and a girl's razor scooter was taken.

6:31 p.m. Theft: Waukesha police take a report of a vehicle break-in on the 300 block of Rivera Drive. A caller told police that their vehicle was left unlocked and that her credit cards had been stolen.

3:23 p.m. Burglary: Police responded to an apartment on the 300 block of W. Newhall Ave. on a report of a burglary. Police reports stated that a suspect entered their apartment between 1 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and stole a silver jewelry box, a gold rosary and two prescription medications.

8:53 a.m. Theft: Police fielded a report of a vehicle break-in on the 300 block of Williams St. Reports stated that someone entered an unlocked car and stole four dollars in change.

7:58 a.m. Burglary: Officers responded to the Kohl's Department Store at 2200 W. St. Paul Ave. on a report that two ceiling tiles were missing from inside the store and that an unspecified amount of cash was missing from cash registers at the front of the store. Officers are investigating the case.

7:19 a.m. Burglary: Police received a report from management at Burger King at 1190 W. Sunset Drive that the store's safe had been left open and that cash was missing. Police took a report of the incident and are investigating.
