6-Car Accident Injures 5; I-41 Re-Opens: Police

Authorities say a six-car accident shut down I-41 Friday morning. A second accident nearby involved a Menomonee Falls police squad.

WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — Authorities say two accident victims were transported via Flight for Life with serious injuries following a six-car accident on I-41 Friday morning.

According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, I-41 was closed for about 50 minutes as emergency workers cleared the scene and transported the victims. Three other patients were transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

The identities of the patients involved and the extent of their injuries is not available at this point.

According to a FOX 6 report, there was a second accident on I-41 at nearly the same time involving a Menomonee Falls police squad and two other vehicles.
