Alter Metal Recycling Celebrates Earth Day

Pewaukee Chamber of Commerce Ribbon-Cutting

Pewaukee Chamber of Commerce members are celebrating Earth Day as one of its members celebrates a grand re-opening and ribbon cutting of its newly re-vamped recycling center. Alter Metal Recycling has increased capacity and efficiency to handle more volume of scrap metal that is collected, compacted, and headed towards recycling and a second use. The celebration kicks-off with a welcome from Facility Manager Chad Johnson to Chamber members, guests, and customers. Pewaukee Chamber President Dick Strassburger will lead the ribbon-cutting at Noon along with the Chamber’s Board of Directors. A Wisconsin-style cook-out follows, rain or shine, with brats, burgers, and non-alcoholic beverages served in recyclable containers.

All Chamber members, guests, customers, and vendors are requested to bring a bag of recyclable metals to the yard. A demonstration of sorting and compacting will be conducted, along with a demo of a “car crush.”

Alter Metal Recycling is a member of the Pewaukee Chamber of Commerce. Chad Johnson serves on its Board. Alter Metal Recycling is located at W229 N598 Foster Ct, Waukesha, WI 53186 (off Bluemound Road east of Hwy F).
