Angry Man At Salty Toad Gets Tased After Officer Tussle: Report

WAUKESHA, WI — Police say one man was arrested after becoming embroiled with bar security, police officers on the scene and later at the hospital before he was tased.

Waukesha police responded to the Salty Toad bar, 921 Friedman Drive, just after 1:30 a.m. on March 18 on a report of a fight.

Waukesha police told Waukesha Patch.com that a security personnel working at the bar were attempting to remove an unruly intoxicated person from the bar.

Police told Patch that this unruly person battered a security person who was working at the bar, though they were eventually able to get him outside of the bar when officers arrived.

Police said the person continued to fight with officers while they were trying to handcuff him. After he was safely taken into custody, he was transported to the hospital for medical treatment. While at the hospital, police said he continued his violent behavior, which forced officers to deploy their taser in order to subdue him.

Police are reporting that he has not been charged by the Waukesha County District Attorney's office.
