Apartment Evacuated Because of Smoke Bomb Kid

An apartment on Cambridge Ave. was evacuated over threat of a fire Friday night after a young man was later caught lighting off smoke bombs.

WAUKESHA, WI — An apartment on Cambridge Ave. was evacuated over threat of a fire Friday night after a young man was later caught lighting off smoke bombs in the apartment's garage.

According to police reports, the apartment was evacuated after a fire alarm was pulled just after 6:30 p.m. Friday.

The fire department arrived and noted that the large multi-family building of four stories did not have any visible signs of a fire on its exterior.

When police investigated, they caught a young man who had set off two smoke bombs inside the apartment garage.

The boy was ultimately left with the mother and was advised on his behavior.
