Armed Robbery Suspect Hits Clark Station Near Carroll; Police Searching for Man

Waukesha police are searching for an armed robbery suspect after a clerk was robbed presumably at gunpoint just before 9 a.m. Monday

WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha police are searching for an armed robbery suspect after a clerk was robbed presumably at gunpoint just before 9 a.m. Monday at the Clark Gas Station on Grand Ave.

The initial investigation has revealed that an unknown suspect entered the gas station and implied having a weapon while demanding money from the clerk. According to police reports, a witness stated the suspect had a gun.

Cash was taken from the clerk and the suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival in a southern direction from the gas station.

Police conducted a search of the area, setting up a perimeter as officers searched the neighborhoods surrounding Barstow, Bark, East, Cook and Wright including the Carroll campus.

According to police reports, a witness reported that the man was wearing a blue hoodie and black pants, and left traveling towards Williams. A witness stated the suspect was a regular customer, but did not know him by name.

Police are reporting that the man was a black male between five-foot-three and five-foot-six with a thin build.

At the time of the robbery, the man was wearing a dark blue hoodie with white writing on the front that said "Surf" or "Scar" in art fashion with an emblem below it and another emblem on the lower right on the back. The suspect was also said to have light blue jogging pants and a lighter stripe down the side of the pants.

The suspect was also said to have a black face mask.
