Authorities Identify Man Who Died In I-94 Crash
Authorities say the driver of a Ford Taurus crossed the I-94 median and struck another vehicle heading in the opposite direction.

WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — Authorities in Waukesha County have identified the person who died in a Friday-morning crash on I-94.
According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, troopers responded to an accident on I-94 west near Highway 67 at about 9:40 a.m. on Aug. 16.
A preliminary report from the State Patrol indicated that the driver of a Ford Taurus, later identified as Thomas Fredrickson, 36, of Lake Mills, was heading east when his vehicle crossed the median. Authorities say Fredrickson's vehicle struck a Toyota Tacoma truck driven west by Michael Edwards, 64, of Delafield. First-responding firefighters quelled the blaze as rescue personnel extricated several people trapped in both vehicles.

Edwards was transported from the scene with serious injuries, and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Fredrickson suffered life-threatening injuries.
Assisting agencies included Western Lakes Fire Department, Village of Summit, Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office, Oconomowoc Police Department, and Express Towing.
