Authorities in Waukesha County say they found the body of a man lost to a boating accident 22 years ago.

WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI -- Last year in October, authorities recovered a body in Lake Okauchee. Today, authorities have identified that body as a man who went missing 22 years ago.

According to the Town of Oconomowoc police department, the Waukesha County Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as 31-year-old Thomas Engel.

“Preservation of the remains was due to the conditions of the lake, which includes depth of water, cold temperature and lack of oxygen. This is consistent with other deep water recovery of remains,” according to a news release published on FOX 6 online.
