As the School Year Winds Down...HAWS Activities Ramp Up!
A new month means tons of new activities and fun at HAWS!
HAWS bursts into bloom in May with a full slate events and activities.
HAWS presents the Rodent Rally on Sunday, May 19th from 12-3p.m. at the shelter at 701 Northview Road, Waukesha. This new and FREE event is for
anyone with a hamster, gerbil, rat, mouse or other pet rodent! Special guest
Nicole Waliszewski, DVM, of Brook-Falls Vet Hospital & Exotic Care will discuss common health concerns and treatments. Information on proper small pet
housing and diet will also be available.
Nationally recognized animal behaviorist and trainer Kathy Sdao is the featured speaker at a two-day seminar on May 18th and 19th. Using lecture, video, and live
demonstrations, Sdao will discuss positive reinforcement and help attendees get

It’s time to register for HAWS’ Kids 'N Critters Day Camp! Children can spend summer interacting with and learning all about animals, responsible pet care, training, health and more. Camps run June through August.
Pet Education is available this summer for 4-legged family members, too! Enroll in one of HAWS’ many dog training classes including Life Skills for Puppies, Basic Manners, Loose Leash Walking, Scent Work, Confident Canine and Dog Play. Kitten season has arrived! HAWS’ new training for young felines, Kitten College, will be held Sunday, May 5th and Tuesday May 21st at 6p.m. Save the date for HAWS’ Kitten Shower on Saturday June 15th!
